Double Layer Roof Machine for Mali Customer Being Loaded for Shipment to Shanghai Port

16 Jul

On July 16, 2025, our factory is busy with the loading of a custom-made double layer roof roll forming machine into a shipping container, destined for Shanghai Port. This machine has been specially manufactured for a valued customer from Mali, West Africa, and it marks a significant step forward in our growing relationship with the African market.

Two Profiles in One Machine

The highlight of this machine is its ability to produce two distinct types of metal roofing sheets: trapezoidal and corrugated profiles. These are among the most commonly used roof sheet designs worldwide, each suited for different applications. The trapezoidal profile is ideal for modern industrial and commercial buildings, offering strong load-bearing capacity and water drainage performance. The corrugated profile, on the other hand, is often used for residential and rural constructions due to its classic wave-like appearance and cost-efficiency.

Having both profiles integrated into one machine significantly saves space and investment for the customer. Instead of buying two separate machines, the double layer structure enables easy switching between profiles via a manual or hydraulic control system, maximizing production flexibility.

High-Strength Material Requirements: G550 to G750

One of the unique aspects of this order is the customer’s specific requirement for processing high-strength steel materials, ranging from G550 to G750. These grades refer to steel with yield strengths from 550 MPa to 750 MPa, which are considerably harder than standard grades like G300 or G350.

Producing roofing sheets from high-strength materials presents a challenge because of the increased hardness and springback during forming. To accommodate this, we reinforced the structure of the machine, including the rollers, shafts, and base. The rollers are made from high-quality Cr12Mov steel with precision heat treatment and chrome coating, ensuring both wear resistance and shaping accuracy.

Moreover, the machine's drive system has been enhanced with a stronger gearbox transmission rather than a traditional chain drive, ensuring that it can handle the extra forming pressure required for high-tensile materials without sacrificing speed or quality.

A Growing Market in Mali

Mali, a landlocked country in West Africa, has seen increasing demand for modern construction materials in recent years. Metal roofing sheets are becoming popular due to their durability, fast installation, and suitability for both residential and commercial applications in Mali’s hot and dry climate.

This particular customer has a growing business in the metal building materials sector and chose our factory for the quality, technical customization, and responsive service we provide. From the initial consultation to confirming the profile designs and selecting proper roll forming technology for G750 steel, our engineering team worked closely with the customer to ensure all requirements were met.

Packaging and Delivery

Before loading, the machine went through a comprehensive testing phase to confirm all functions, profile precision, and forming speed. It has been carefully packed with anti-rust treatment, plastic wrap, and steel frame supports to prevent any damage during ocean transport. The machine will be shipped from Shanghai Port and is expected to arrive in Mali in about 40-45 days.

Commitment to Customization and Quality

This successful order highlights our continued focus on customized roll forming solutions for international clients. Whether it's dual-profile machines, high-tensile steel capability, or special project requirements, our team is capable of delivering robust and reliable equipment that meets global standards.

As we continue expanding into the African market, we are proud to support our Mali customer’s business and look forward to further collaborations. Our factory remains committed to providing advanced roll forming technology that empowers entrepreneurs and construction companies around the world.
