This week, three advanced roll forming machines were successfully shipped to Guatemala, strengthening our presence in the Central American market and reinforcing the growing demand for portable roofing and construction solutions in the region. The shipment included a width adjustable portable KR18 roof machine with trailer, an SSR200 width adjustable portable standing seam roll forming machine, and a 2-in-1 Z shape clip roll forming machine. These machines are tailored to meet the growing construction needs in Guatemala and provide unparalleled efficiency, flexibility, and convenience for metal roof installation and structural reinforcement.
With this latest delivery, we have now exported a total of eight roll forming machines to Guatemala since the beginning of 2025—an impressive milestone that highlights the increasing trust and confidence that Guatemalan customers place in our products and services.
The KR18 roof profile is one of the most popular standing seam profiles in Central America, valued for its high strength, concealed fastening, and clean architectural look. The machine shipped this week is a portable model mounted on a custom trailer, making it ideal for on-site roll forming. With width adjustability built into its design, contractors can now produce panels with varying widths on-demand, adapting easily to diverse project requirements.
Its portability is particularly beneficial in Guatemala, where many roofing projects are in semi-urban or rural areas with limited access to heavy machinery. By allowing roofing panels to be formed directly at the job site, this mobile solution reduces transportation costs, material waste, and installation time.
The SSR200 is another top-tier portable machine that stands out for its ability to create different widths of standing seam panels. Its advanced design supports multiple seam types, including snap-lock and mechanically seamed options, providing builders and roofers with greater design freedom.
Its lightweight and rugged construction make it ideal for mobile operations, whether on rooftops or tight construction sites. The SSR200’s flexibility is especially useful in the Guatemalan roofing industry, where building styles vary widely between residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
The third machine included in this shipment is a 2-in-1 Z shape clip roll forming machine. This highly specialized piece of equipment is engineered to produce two sizes of Z-shaped clips commonly used to fasten KR18 or standing seam panels to roof decks. These clips are critical for maintaining the structural integrity of the roof under wind uplift and thermal expansion.
The 2-in-1 function allows users to switch between different clip profiles without needing to change tooling, making it a cost-effective and time-saving solution for roofing contractors. With Guatemala’s rising construction activity, particularly in residential and warehouse development, such components are in high demand.
Over the past few years, the Guatemalan construction industry has seen notable growth, driven by urban expansion, infrastructure investment, and housing projects. Local builders are increasingly turning to light gauge steel and metal roofing systems for their durability, cost-effectiveness, and ease of installation.
The eight machines delivered so far in 2025 reflect this trend. Our local partners have reported high satisfaction with the machines already in use, particularly praising their build quality, precision, and after-sales service. In fact, several of the machines delivered this year were repeat orders—proof of the trust we’ve built with customers in the region.
Our portable machines, in particular, have gained popularity due to their ability to reach remote sites and quickly adapt to different project specifications. This logistical advantage is especially valuable in Guatemala, where diverse topography and road infrastructure can pose challenges to traditional construction workflows.
To support our customers in Guatemala, we have developed a comprehensive after-sales service strategy that includes virtual training, Spanish-language user manuals, video tutorials, and real-time support through messaging platforms. Whenever possible, we also arrange on-site commissioning services or collaborate with local technicians to ensure smooth machine operation.
As part of our long-term commitment to the Guatemalan market, we’re exploring opportunities to offer local inventory of spare parts and consumables. This would significantly reduce downtime for maintenance and help our customers operate more efficiently.
With five machines already delivered earlier this year and three more shipped this week, we expect 2025 to be a record-breaking year for our business in Guatemala. Our growth is fueled not just by increasing sales but by long-term partnerships built on quality, reliability, and innovation.
We remain dedicated to empowering builders, roofers, and contractors in Guatemala with top-tier machinery that boosts productivity and profitability. This latest shipment is another step forward in that mission—and there’s more to come.
