Roof batten and ceiling batten are top hat cold rolled steel battens widely used in light gauge steel housing.

• Roof batten: Made of high tensile galvanized steel, designed to support roof tiles or metal roof sheets, resist wind suction and snow load. Thicker gauge for outdoor heavy load application.
• Ceiling batten: Light-duty top hat section, used for plasterboard ceiling support inside building. Thinner gauge, only bears ceiling board weight.
